This is a roll of “generic white” non-branded or labeled tape. I have two rolls of authentic 3M Black 1/4” VHB tape to compare it to. 3M come on a larger spool and is clearly marked 3M on both the tape and the inner spool. Pictures on listing do not represent product received.Returning immediately for refund.If you need to mount something to something else, this will do it.It's nice to not have to spend a ton of money on an entire roll of it when I needed less than half an inch.This tape is a 3M doubled sided VHB foam tape (Very High Bond) Type 4929. It provides an extremely strong, weatherproof and permanent bond between a number of different materials. This tape is VERY expensive, so kudos to TapeCase (and others) for taking the product from a much longer roll and repackaging it in a size more affordable for the typical consumer or hobbyist. I use it to permanently mount metals signs in commercial buildings (mount to concrete, cinder block, plaster, metal, etc.). One 3/4" x 1" strip at each of four corners provides plenty of holding power. For even better bonding I also use a 3M primer (careful not to use in an enclosed areas or where there are open flames or potential for ignition). I have also used it to mount electrical boxes.This tape is a joke! Don't waste your money.Go buy any double sided tape, for $5.00, and it will work just as good, or even better.I paid $35.00, for junk...
