I use this tape for my watercolor paper. not too sticky and easy to removeI use these tapes to label everything from leftover to spices to sauces. I didn’t realize how much smaller the writing surface would be on these more narrow tapes. And they don’t stick on the plastic containers as well as the painters tape from the hardware store.Bates makes a superior product. Much, much better than 3M.Well it is right size ,and the adhesive is ok , The weak point is ,The tape is a little too thin and when I brush wet paint Over it , It will buckle a bit , it needs to have a waxy back to repel the wet paint, The only thing I want , is a clean sharp edge , And this is ok ,on the average but it is not great for art or artist using acrylics over it , For a clean sharp hard edges on canvas, This tape may be Good for House paint jobs , but fails for the demands of artists. For caulking my log home cracks, this worked great. However, it's is very sticky and adheres well, so for artists or painters, get the 3M tape. I put it on, caulk, and take right off. A few times I left on for longer and it was really harder to get off. If you want a really sticky tape, this is great.Good stuff, but way to sticky for me.Gum stickiness is inconsistant and it loses strength when retaped. Notice the ridges in the photo.I used these to paint mountains for a nursery. They were the perfect size for what I needed and I was able to get the job done, however there were some problems. First, they didn’t adhere perfectly to the wall at all times. If there was even a little bit of humidity in the room, the tape would fall off. The other problem was even when I thought it was stuck to the wall, it apparently wasn’t and some paint bled through. It wasn’t the end of the world but it was a little annoying. I had plenty of time to deal with the issues, but if you are in a rush, you might want better quality tape. All in all though, for the price and what I needed, they were fine. I would buy them again.
