I particularly like the black stealth tape, but really all of the colors that blend into the background, or that replace the stickers that came with the bike. It's a 3M product, so you know it's good.I've gone through quite a few rolls on helmets, bikes, scooters, anywhere they might get hit by a car.My kids like it because it isn't obvious, I like it because it glows brightly.I bought the black reflector tape because I have a black bicycle and I do a lot of night riding. Lightweights has an array of other colors, but I only got the black so far. The slogan on the package reads "Stealth Tape: Because some of you would literally rather die than put silver safety reflective on your black things." From this, one might infer that this tape is significantly less reflective than the white or silver tape that 3M makes. I can say for a fact that such an assumption would be correct. The "stealth tape" looks gloss-black in daylight. In the dark, it still looks gloss black... until you hit it with a flashlight or headlights. Then it reflects a dark grey/silver color. Although it can be seen from about 70 feet away, the reflection has a sort of velvety texture to it and it is not very bright. You will realize that you're not just looking at empty space, but there are better reflectors on the market. 3M makes a white reflector tape that really pops when it catches the light. This stuff is really only good if you absolutely need tape that looks black in daylight. Just be aware that you are going to sacrifice some reflective ability in trade for the black daytime color.Black is pretty hard to see. You really need to have the light shine on it at the perfect angle to illuminate.I use it to patch up chipped paint on my bike’s basket. It’s nice and thick. Sticks well. It's ok, very clearly someone just buying bulk from 3M, repackaging, and reselling, so not a good value at all, but I also don't need to buy it in a 50meter spool so this works.Lime color is just yellow, but I'm sure the yellow would be about the color of the amazon logo.Seems to stick well, I had to pull a piece to re-position, the backing didn't like that (metal/foil type backing) but I have just enough to replace when it falls off so that's ok. Just make sure you get it in exactly the right place the first time.Legit 3M Retroreflective...used it to put spirals around the front forks of my sports bike. Really does reflect white and really is black (slight texture, but only visible close up).Very happy with this. I put some around the base of my helmet as well. It has stayed several hundred miles now through rain, mud, a bike wash, even some minor hail. Obviously, high winds. It didn't stick to my jacket very long, but there's a reason 3M makes a different tape for clothing (including sew on kinds).Highly recommended and for the price, not bad...won't need 25,50,100 feet or more from 3M so this, although per unit was not efficient, it gave me more than enough for what I needed to do and had a bit left over. That said, I paid less than if I had bought a whole roll so I did end up saving money instead of getting a lot and never using it all.I recommend this "stealth tape" to help increase driver visibility of cyclists. It's important to realize that this reflective tape should be a compliment to with light-emitting sources, like head lights or tail lights. ALL reflective items are useless without direct light from the observer, so when you ride down a street at night, don't expect to be seen by cars pulling out of their driveways until you are right in front of them.I like the gloss black finish, and it truly blends in with black bike parts. The tape is somewhat fragile (compared to the Scotch Tape on your office desk) and can tear if you're not careful, but the upside is that it conforms really well to contours by stretching or bunching up then smoothing out (similar to electrical tape).I've installed the tape on:-leading edge of my carbon fiber fork blades for forward traffic (paired with a steady Cygolite Expilion 300 and flashing Planet Bike Spok)-trailing edge of my seat stay tubes for rearward traffic (paired with a flashing Serfas Thunderbolt)-rims of wheel set for perpendicular trafficThe reflection is bright. A lightweights official confirmed that there is no protective layer to be removed, just peel and stick. Anybody looking at this tape with a dim light will not be overly thrilled, but when a camera flash or car lights hit it, you are Dynamo from Running Man (hey! Krismuss Tree!) so it is a win. Very subdued during daylight; looks something like your standard width of electrical tape would look. In car lights/camera flash brightnesses, the glow is just as good, imo, as any other color of tape. Other, brighter colors MAY have a small benefit of being able to be seen in notably dimmer lighting, but your concern is really moving automobiles, is it not? And vehicle headlights will make this stuff glow so you can buy and apply with confidence. And don't think you can't use up an entire 100 inch roll on a single motorcycle helmet; I have about 12 inches left.I wish they gave you more of it per package but if you use it sparingly it does the trick. Great for night riders and safety concerned bikers. I would probably order two packs just to be sure you have enough to make your whole bike glow like the sun.Maybe I didn't read carefully, but this tape was much thinner than I expected. Still, it's good quality and lasted outdoors through a snowy winter. Not as bright as the silver version, but it is bright enough, and serves its purpose of being "stealth". I have applied it on my bike and the bike still looks clean.Works as advertised on my bike. The stealth tap is not suitable for installation canvass like bags or clothing. I think it is different than the other reflective tapes sold by LightweightsGreat quality - 3M branded. You can see the reflection quite well at night.
